Book Newspaper Ads in Jorhat

Jorhat, often called the "Knowledge City" and "Tea Capital of the World," is the cultural and intellectual heart of Upper Assam. With a metropolitan population of approximately 2.3 Lakh (2026 estimate), it serves as a critical commercial hub for the surrounding tea estates and districts. The city's literacy rate of over 90% is among the highest in the state, making print media an incredibly powerful tool for reaching a sophisticated and engaged audience.

The print tradition in Jorhat is historic; the first Assamese daily, Dainik Batori, was published from here in 1935. Today, the landscape is dominated by Assamese dailies like Amar Asom and Dainik Janambhumi, which remain the primary source of news for the local population. For reaching the tea industry professionals and the urban elite, the Northeast edition of The Telegraph is the preferred English daily.
